Oh, Sorry I'm late

OK I admit it I messed up. Despite my best efforts (lie) I was unable to keep this blog going. To be fair if you did read the first blog carefully you will see written, in size 12 Times New Roman, I clearly stated the blog was doomed. So ultimately I guess I right.

So what's different this time round? Well I am two years older and wiser (lie, well I am older whether I am wiser or not is debatable); I won't state the blog is doomed; it isn't the first post thus meaning there is considerably less pressure; AND finally I'm going to stop talking about keeping/writing a blog.

So what's new? I have a job in PR and Marketing, which I am thoroughly enjoying, I love twitter and my head seems to be screwed on a little tighter. Oh and my hair is shorter.

I've have a few things on my mind right now; I've just heard that a friend I grew up with died today. I'm not going to speak in depth about this - he was a close friend through school but he moved away and as is often the case, we lost touch and haven't spoken at length for the best part of a decade. That being said he was still someone that I was close to for a large part of my life and his untimely death has still had an impact on me.

I guess I've learnt that something like this can happen to anyone at anytime. I'm not going to lie, this very notion scares the hell out of me, we take people and life itself for granted all the time, often without meaning too. Life is too short to coast on by, I hope I learn from this.

Anyway, that's all I have to say for now.

For the umpteenth time... An Introduction

Right Ok, This time I'm going to stick with this. "Yeah Right" I hear you say, well I can ensure I will keep at it and persevere because this time I'm going to actually WANT to write it, as it's going to be about myself and more importantly what I am interested in.

So topics...What am I into? What am I passionate about? What trivial crap will this already doomed blog drum into us? Well I guess it would be best to start off with a bit about myself and who I am. Maybe then you can anticipate what I have to talk about.

From the top then, statistics; I am 21, I have graduated from university with a degree in Journalism, I live in Liverpool and seem to have a lot of free time lately. Ultimately I would like to be a TV Presenter (this will be touched upon on another occasion), however I maintain a fairly resolute passion for the written word. I have many leatherbound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogony... (This right here is something you will have to get used to. I have what is commonly known as quotegrity* - which is the overpowering urge to quote films/music/books that get stuck in my head.)

A few other things I feel are worth noting; I have an unhealthy obsession for football - and fortunatly for some, unfortunatly for others, it will be talked about regularly in this blog. I enjoy reading, music and watching epically mindblowing films and epically mindnumbing television. Politics and Religion can at times be controversial topics, however there's nothing wrong with a bit of healthy debate. I would like to point out now that I can be highly opinionated and stubborn, but I will also point out that I thrive to be as open minded as possible.

In all this blog will just be the written form of all the crap that swirls around in my head. I think that should be suffice for now - anything else I'm sure will be picked up on the way.

Finally before I bid farewell to this introductory blog I should mention that I am currently learning to play guitar and also trying to find my way into the world of media - both journeys' will be documented in this lovely text format version of my life.

That should cover everything for now, it's most likely that I have forgotton some vital facts of life but c'est la vie.
